3 ways to keep your kids slim
It's true that we need to do our best to keep our kids healthy and a BIG part of that is making sure they don't become obese. It's not as easy as it appears, with the easy access to junk food and the constant allure of the TV and other things that keep our kids sedentary. But this article says there are three simple things we can do on a daily basis to keep our kids from gaining too much weight. Do you think it's that easy? What else do you do?

not too worried
I'm not too worried about it, my kids have always been on the slim side anyway, but they also get lots of exercise and we also eat dinner together 7 nights a week with meals that are carefully balanced. I'm not into the organic craze and I do supplement with convenience foods occasionally (pasta or rice mixes and crescent rolls or biscuits from a fridge roll container that you pop on a cookie sheet and bake).
They don't buy lunch at school very often and they eat a breakfast of usually cereal with whole milk plus juice or toast, bacon and juice every morning before school. We have some junk food stocked (crackers, goldfish, nilla wafers) plus veggies, fruit and cheese for snacking.
I think the key to anything is health and moderation,

The point isn't keeping kids "slim"
It's keeping them "healthy" and not obese.
I have seven kids. All are in the normal weight range for their height.
We eat a family dinner at least six nights a week.
They play outside.
They watch some TV -- probably more than 2 hours on the weekends -- but in moderation.
