Car seats
A new study from Britain has found rear-facing car seats are safer for all kids under 4. Read a short article about the findings at http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090612/hl_nm/us_car_seats. What do you think? How would your toddler do in a rear-facing seat, and what would be some ideas for keeping them comfortable and entertained?

I wish I had known this when
I wish I had known this when my kids were younger! I found out that keeping them rear facing is best (up until seat limit) AFTER both my kids were older.
When my daughter got close to 40 lbs., I started researching booster and car seat options. I opted for the Graco Nautilus as she can stay harnessed until 65 lb. She is now 6 and doesn't mind not being in a booster.
For older rear-facing kids, perhaps some fun toys and games would keep them occupied. Although, keeping my kids occupied in the car is always a challenge! Mine love music and books on tape, as well.
