Corn Maze
Corn Maze at Bergey's Breadbasket--Come and enjoy Bergey's Annual Corn Maze open Thursdays 4 PM - 7 PM (October only) and Fridays and Saturdays 10 AM - 7 PM. The 5-acre maze is a fun and educational activity for your whole family. Hone your directional skills and problem solving skills as you make your way through our new football themed maze. Price includes wagon ride, corn maze, straw bale maze, and one free corn gun shot. Additional corn gun shots are $1 a shot. We have wagon rides, a petting zoo, and games, and you won't be able to pass by our family-run bakery without stopping for a treat! Choose from homemade cinnamon rolls, breads and pies, sandwiches, and made on-site ice cream. A variety of produce and fresh-cut flowers grown right on our farm are also available. Old Virginia Christmas and Fall Festival
Old Virginia Christmas Fair at Smith's Fort Plantation--held 7 mi. from Williamsburg, VA. - Oct. 19-21 - Across the James River from Jamestown Island, a group of select Traditional Craftsmen, assemble in Colonial costume, demonstrating their crafts - selling their Collector & Gift Quality wares. Journey Trails, recognized nationally for their special effects make up, is now offering FOUR, unique, haunted attractions for one low price. Each haunt provieds many levels of mystery and scare for the mind, body and soul; Come experience the Journey to the Dark Side, Castle Bloodworth, the Doomsday Encounter, and The "Fun" House". Journey Trails is one of the most unusual, truth-based haunts ever created, and the only scare that stays with you "Till Death do us Part!" Open Every Friday and Saturday in October 7:30pm—10:30pm. The City of Poquoson presents the Annual Poquoson Seafood Festival. The Festival's mission is to honor the Working Watermen of the Chesapeake Bay and the rich coastal heritage of Poquoson. The festival will feature outstanding national and regional musical entertainment. As in years past, the Poquoson Seafood Festival hosts the Poquoson Art League Juried Arts & Crafts Show with over 150 artisans expected to exhibit. Living up to its name, the Festival offers a variety of seafood dishes from the surrounding waters. Admission Fee: $5 parking

The 2012 Stockley Gardens Fall Arts Festival will take place, as always, in Stockley Gardens Park in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk (at the corner of Stockley Gardens and Olney Rd.) and is free and open to the public. Over 140 artists will participate, featuring pieces in various media including painting, glass, sculpture, photography, and jewelry. There will also be an Emerging Artist Exhibit, musical performances all weekend long, children's activities, and a variety of food vendors serving everything from popcorn to ribs to pitas to funnel cake and more. The festival will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, and from noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 21. The award ceremony and after-hours party will take place Saturday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. All proceeds from the festival will benefit Hope House Foundation.

The 2012 Military Family Festival presented by USAA in partnership with the Tidewater Military Family Services Council (TMFSC) will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Event activities include: Live shows, meet live animals, games, tons of candy, Pirate School, Spectrum Puppets, local resources & information tables, tons of free giveaways, food sampling and mini golf.
