Finding a Schedule That Works

Do any of you homeschooling moms out there continually tweak your schedule throughout the beginning of the school year to find what works the best as far as order of subjects, or chore time, or break times? I have been changing things around a lot it seems trying to find the "ideal" schedule. What are your adjustments that you have had to make?
