Christmas Planetarium Show, through Dec. 31
It’s an animated Christmas light display. Recommended for ages 6 and above.

Winter Wonderland, through Jan. 1
Enjoy the holiday season as the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center becomes a Winter Wonderland offering old and new holiday traditions, many of which stem from the renowned Coleman Nursery Collection.

McDonald's Holiday Lights at the Beach, through Jan. 1,
New displays are added each year so it’s never the same show twice! One of the highlights is the giant “12 Days of Christmas” display, where some fixtures stand 20 and 30 feet high! A free CD of holiday music is provided to each vehicle entering McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach...

Holiday Sports Family Fun Day, Dec. 1
Come and enjoy games, skills tests, prizes and more!

Let it Snow!, through Dec. 8
A light show choreographed to music and real snow!

Cookies and Crafts with Santa, Dec. 1
Free crafts will be provided by Pembroke Mall and cookies will be provided by Nestle, while supplies last. Adult supervision required for children 12 and under.

Scuba Santa, weekends through Dec. 23
Be sure to catch a glimpse of the jolly ole’ elf swimming with the fishes in the Chesapeake Bay Aquarium. 

Olde Towne Holiday Music Festival, Dec. 8
This festival has become Portsmouth's signature holiday event. It's a musical tribute to the spirit of the holiday season, enlivening the first seven blocks of High Street with performances, children's activities, reenactors in period attire, carolers, and strolling characters.

Dominion Garden of Lights at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, through Dec. 31
The garden is transformed into a winter wonderland where you can enjoy a 2-mile drive through a million sparkling lights bringing the four seasons to life.

Busch Gardens Christmas Town, through Dec. 31
Holiday traditions, dazzling shows and one-of-a-kind gift ideas will make everyone say, “Now this is Christmas.
