Military families enjoy a free day at the zoo!

Today is forecasted to be a beautiful day! Military members and their dependents can make the best of it by attending the USO sponsored military day at the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk. All military members and their dependents will be honored with free admission to the zoo today Sunday October 14 from 10am-4pm.

Our family attended this event last year and had a blast. We will be there bright and early today. As you can imagine the zoo will be packed. I suggest you go early, pack sunscreen and some cash as there will be vendors there selling hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, etc.
Also wear your walking shoes because you may have to park far from the zoo entrance and of course you will want to walk around the zoo itself. More information can be found thru the links below.
