New Year Resolutions
Can you believe its 2013? Every year seems to fly by a bit faster as I get older. This year has been a busy one for my family. We welcomed the newest member of our family home last January. It's hard to believe my baby will be one in a couple weeks.
Inevitably I have already been asked what my new years resolutions will be. There is the standard lose weight and get to the gym more often response but as I take a minute to reflect on what I really want from 2013 its time that comes to mind. I want to spend more time with my family.
I wish to be more present with my children. They are only this young for such a short period of time. I don't want my boys to have too many memories of mommy looking at her phone when I should be looking at their sweet little faces. I'm going to make a real effort to save Facebook, Pinterest, and surfing the internet for after my little ones are asleep. In the end I will not regret updating my status or pinning a great idea. I would however regret missing a funny conversation with my 4 year old or a sweet chubby grin from the baby. Here's to a great 2013 with time spent more wisely!
