CPSC recalls Columbia Heated Jackets and Specialized Bicycles

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has released two recall alerts that may impact families in Hampton Roads. First is a recall of Columbia Sportswear heated jackets due to burn hazards, and the other Specialty bicycles because of fall hazards.

Columbia Sportswear Recalls Seven Models of Heated Jackets Due To Burn Hazard
Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Recall Summary
Name of product: Men's and Women's Heated Jackets
Hazard: The heated inner wrist cuff can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
Remedy: Refund

Specialized Bicycle Components Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

Hazard: The steerer tube in the front fork can break, posing a fall hazard.
