Recent Recalls: Cough medicine, play yard sheets, bunk beds and vitamins

The CPSC has issued recall alerts for the following products: Triaminic and Theraflu, MegaFood One Daily tablets and World Imports Bunk Beds. More information about each recall, including what to do if you have purchased these items, below.

Play Yard Sheets Recalled by 4moms Due to Entrapment Hazard

Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: 4moms® breeze™ Cotton Jersey Playard Sheets

Hazard: The sheets are too small for the play yards. A sheet that does not properly fit the play yard poses an entrapment hazard that could lead to suffocation.

Remedy: Refund

Triaminic and Theraflu Products Recalled Due to Failure to Meet Child-Resistant Closure Requirement; Risk of Poisoning

Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: Triaminic® Syrups and Theraflu Warming Relief® Syrups

Hazard: These child-resistant caps can fail to function properly and enable the cap to be removed by a child with the tamper-evident seal in place, posing a risk of unintentional ingestion and poisoning. These products contain acetaminophen and diphenhydramine which are required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act to be sealed with child-resistant packaging.

Remedy: Refund

World Imports Recalls Bunk Beds Due to Violation of Safety Standard

Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Hazard: The openings between the metal rails of the end structures are greater than allowed in the standard and pose a risk of entrapment or asphyxiation hazard.

Remedy: Repair

FoodState Recalls Bottles of MegaFood One Daily Supplements Due to Lack of Child-Resistant Packaging

Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: MegaFood One Daily Supplement Bottles

Hazard: The packaging is not child-resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The supplement tablets inside the bottle contain iron, which can cause serious injury or death to young children if multiple tablets are ingested at once.

Remedy: Refund
