Things to do when the power goes out

indoor-activities

 1) Hide and Seek with Flashlights

2) Charades

3) Dictionary - One player chooses a word from the dictionary, the meaning of which is not known. Each player writes down their definition, which are read aloud by  the player who chose the word. Bragging rights go to the player who guessed the highest number of correct definitions and to the player whose fake definitions fooled the most people. (via dailyrecord.com)

3) Reading Out Loud

4) Pictionary

5) Scavenger Hunt - Start making clues and remember this rule of thumb: kids’ patience will last through about twice as many clues as they are years old. (via groovygreenlivin.com)

6) Good ole' card games

7) Camp out in your living room - use pillows, sheets, and make a tent
