We are the region's only parenting magazine and social networking site. Circulation of 61,000 (with less than 3% return rate), includes 8 separate cities, 283 free rack locations, 24 targeted zip codes, with 145,180 readers. 51,000 copies are carefully distributed in The Virginian Pilot newspaper, to homes of adults, age 25-44, with children 18 or younger and a minimum household income of $50,000. 10,000 additional copies are available at free racks at all Wa Wa Convenience Stores, special events, medical facilities, military establishments and schools. We work with local television and radio stations to provide them with valuable content for news.
Our relationships with other media partners and community organizations help bring our messages to families across the region. Special annual and bi-annual auxiliary products include Connexions (Camp Guide). Produced in March, Camp Connexions puts parents in touch with local and regional day and overnight camps, sports, science camps, plus a host of other resources. The Camp & Education Fair is held every March in a family-friendly location. Women & Babies' Wellness Guide is produced in May (at with our special event, The Birth & Baby Expo). This Guide strives to make life a little easier for women. Content includes health and safety tips for women in the stages of pregnancy, newborn care info., and updates on women's health issues. The Private Education Guide is published in December and the most comprehensive resource of the private education experience. Cover Kids Contest is produced from October-December, and voting is held on line, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Naval Special Warefare Foundation. We are a sponsor of WAVY-TV's The Hampton Roads Show's parenting segment. The Pink Mermaid Cruise is produced in October in honor of Breast Cancer Month. Attendees can sail along the Elizabeth River and have a day of relaxation of pampering!
Our typical reader is an upper-income, well-educated woman between 25-44; median age is 37. She is the primary shopper for her household and children. That's buying power for households with an average annual income of $50,000. Over 55% of our readers are military families. 80% have children at home (2 or more); 92% are female; 76% are ages 225-44 (median age is 36). They are engaged, 61% spend more than 30 minutes with each issue. 68% share their copy with others and 66% have read 3 or more of the last 4 issues.

We also work with Pilot Media to produce the Family Deal. You can secure new customers (risk free); reach more than 100,000 visitors per day. This is promoted to hundreds and thousands of LOCAL customers.
