Is this too political?

One school principal is apologizing for showing a pro-community service and pro-conserve-the-environment video to students.  Service is the school's theme for the year, and the PTA selected the video. I watched it and thought one piece of advcie was a little strange -- "don't flush the toilet after a number one." Yes, I see how that helps the environment, but, yikes, the smell will not help my house.

Parents complained about an actress saying she would stop using plastic bags. Really? That's controversial?! Even Wal-Mart encourages you to use reusable bags. My kids' school does lessons on the environment and recycling every year. Some were also concerned about a mention of stem cell research. I'm 100% certain that reference would have flown right over 99% of the students' heads. And for the 1% who got it, congratulations. The parents should be pumping their chests with pride.

Come on -- get real, parents. Here's what you have a problem with: Barack Obama is featured a handful of times in the video and two actors pledge to be of service to him. OOOOh...the horror of it. People saying they'll help out the leader of our country.
