Twilight Series: Bad for Teens?

So what do you think? Have you read the books? Have you seen the movie(s)? Is this another type of Harry Potter or something more sinister? My sixteen year old is REALLY into them, but I have some reservations. After reading the first book per her request, I felt that it was heavy on sensuality--more unnecessary stirring of already raging teen hormones. Any opinions?

I have read the entire series

I have read the entire series after hearing the other moms in my group talk about it. I actually liked the books. It brought back memories and feelings of when I was a teenager, which then made me feel young. :D Is it good for teenagers? Will it put their hormones in overdrive? Maybe....but so could the latest band or a cute boy at school. It is what they do with their "raging hormones" is what we need to worry about. I have a 16 year old daughter as well who has read the entire series and has watched the movies and so far she is not acting on those hormones. Thanks God! Me and the other moms on the other hand....well we are acting like school girls...but it is fun. Go team Edward! LOL!
