If you're like me, you're constantly looking for quick meals to make for the family I'm not the greatest cook in the world. I tend to look for recipes that require little skill, less than five ingredients and minimal prepping and cook times. I'm more of a wham, bam, thank you kind of girl when it comes to meals. My favorite new site to find cool meal ideas is Pinterest. For those not familiar with it, the site allows you to pin everything from food, books, entertainment, favorite places and ideas onto your own personal boards that you share with others. Its the latest social media darling.
As I was planning my meals for next week, I decided to stroll over to Pinterest to find a new recipe. I stumbled upon Hawaiian Crock Pot Chicken. It met all of my requirements. It only had three ingredients. Ding! Cooking time is six hours in a crock pot. Double ding! And all I have to do is sit back, let it cook and serve it over rice. No skill required. Triple ding!
Bon Apetit!
Hawaiian Crock Pot Chicken
4 - 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I used 10 breast tenderloins)
1 (15.5 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 (16.5 ounce) bottle Hawaiian marinade sauce
Spray crock pot with cooking spray. Place chicken in crock pot, pour pineapple on top of chicken, then pour sauce over all. Cook on LOW for 6 hours.
