Desserts First: Girl Scout Cookie All Grown Up!

Girl Scout cookies have never been so sophisticated!  Top chefs from popular Hampton Roads restaurants will create signature desserts using Girl Scout cookies as the main ingredient.  Guests can sample each cookie creation and choose their favorite for the “People’s Choice” award.  The night will also include hors d’oeuvres and complimentary champagne.  Local favorite Lewis McGehee will provide live entertainment.  A silent auction will include a 7-night Caribbean cruise for 2 on Royal Caribbean, 4 1-day Disney Park Hopper tickets, a Beach House rental at Southern Shores Memorial Day Weekend, gift cards from each participating restaurant, passes to many local attractions, and so much more.  Participating restaurants include Aqua S Restaurant, Freemason Abbey, Great Wolf Lodge, McCormick & Schmick’s, River Stone Chophouse, Rowena’s, Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro, Steinhilber’s, Tradewinds and The Westin.  Tickets for the event are $50.  All proceeds benefit the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast.  Last year’s Desserts First helped fund programs this past summer at Girl Scout Camp Darden.  Contact Molly Feine at (757) 547-4405, ext 1292 or mollyf@gsccc.org or visit www.gsccc.org for tickets and details.
