HAPPY BIRTHDAY COAST GUARD!

In conjunction with the City’s Coast Guard celebration, join us for our August First Weekend Event, and celebrate 222^nd Birthday of the Coast Guard! On August 4, 1790 the Revenue Cutter Service, the precursor to the United States Coast Guard, was established.   Listen to maritime folk music, tour a U.S.C.G. Cutter, and enjoy other activities celebrating the Coast Guard’s rich history and Portsmouth’s designation as a Coast Guard City!  As with all our First Saturday programs, admission will be FREE to both the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum and Lightship
