Yorktown Stables Spring & Summer Horse Camp

For Children ages six and older, Beginners through Intermediates

Riders will have 1 hour of private riding instruction daily and will care for and groom their lesson horse for the week. Young riders will get a basic foundation of horsemanship, English equitation, and general horse care. Intermediate riders will have opportunity to go on group trail rides. All riders will be able to participate in ‘in-house’ horse show on last camp day. There will be various clinics given by local breeders, trainers, farriers and/or equine veterinarians for each session.

Camp begins each day at 9:00am, and ends each day at 3:00pm
Early Drop off or Late Pick-up is available on request.
There is a $25.00 fee, per day for this service.

Riders should arrive at stable in jodhpurs and riding boots.
Camp t-shirts and polos are available by order. Pick up order forms in our office!
Riders should bring a pair of shorts to change into after riding.
Riders should also bring a good, healthy lunch. (Healthy snacks and bottled water provided)
If rain is likely, please bring a raincoat.
Approved helmets and chaps are provided.
